These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the website of Venetian Iron Design Inc. (https://www.venetianironart.ca) and any quotation, order, or installation we carry out for you. By using this website or accepting a quotation from us, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.
Use of This Website
You may browse this website and request information for your own personal or business purposes. You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation, or that attempts to gain unauthorized access to any part of it. We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the website at any time without notice.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including photographs of completed work, drawings, designs, text, logos, and the Venetian Iron Design name — is owned by Venetian Iron Design Inc. or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of it for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. Custom designs and drawings we prepare for a project remain our intellectual property unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Quotations and Pricing
Prices shown or discussed on this website are indicative only and do not constitute an offer. Every project is quoted individually following a consultation and site measurement. A written quotation is valid for thirty (30) days from its date and is based on the specifications, materials, and site conditions recorded at the time it was prepared. Changes to the design, material selection, finish, or quantity, and site conditions that differ from those recorded, may require a revised quotation.
Orders, Deposits, and Payment
An order is confirmed once you have approved the quotation in writing and paid the agreed deposit. Because our work is fabricated to your specifications, deposits cover materials and shop time and are non-refundable once fabrication has begun. The balance is due on completion of installation unless a different schedule is set out in your quotation. We reserve the right to suspend work or withhold delivery on accounts that are past due.
Site Measurements and Access
Final fabrication is based on measurements taken by us at the site. You are responsible for ensuring that the site is ready and safely accessible on the agreed installation dates, that the areas we need are clear, and that any permits, condominium or municipal approvals, or third-party consents required for the work have been obtained. Delays or additional visits caused by site conditions, restricted access, or incomplete preparation by others may be charged separately.
Custom Fabrication and Variations
Our railings, stairs, gates, fences, and canopies are handcrafted. Minor variations in dimension, texture, weld appearance, and finish are inherent to hand-worked metal and are not defects. Colour and finish may vary slightly from samples, photographs, or previous work, and natural materials such as wood and stone vary between batches. Where a design is fabricated to a drawing you have approved, that approved drawing governs the finished work.
Delivery and Installation
We will give you an estimated fabrication and installation schedule and will keep you informed of its progress. Timelines are estimates given in good faith and are not guaranteed; they may be affected by material availability, weather, site readiness, inspections, and the work of other trades. We are not liable for losses arising from delays outside our reasonable control.
Warranty
We warrant our workmanship against defects in fabrication and installation for the period stated in your quotation, beginning on the date installation is complete. The warranty covers repair or replacement of the defective work at our option. It does not cover normal wear, surface rust or finish weathering from ordinary outdoor exposure, damage from impact, misuse, or accident, alterations or repairs carried out by others, movement or settlement of the structure the work is fixed to, or failure to carry out the maintenance described below. Manufactured components supplied by others — glass, hardware, motors, and lighting — carry the warranty of their own manufacturer.
Maintenance and Care
Exterior ironwork requires routine care to keep its finish. Wash painted and powder-coated surfaces periodically with mild soap and water, avoid abrasive cleaners and de-icing salts on or near the work, and touch up any chips or scratches promptly to stop rust from spreading. We will provide care guidance on request.
Cancellations and Changes
Requests to cancel or change an order must be made in writing. Before fabrication begins we will accommodate reasonable changes, subject to a revised quotation. Once materials have been ordered or fabrication has started, you remain responsible for the cost of materials, labour, and shop time incurred to that point. Custom work cannot be returned or restocked.
